Regardless of the type of business you’re in, if you are at risk for environmental releases of hazardous materials, petroleum products or other regulated substances, you can benefit from the services and resources of Spill Center™. Our program will improve your readiness to respond quickly and efficiently to pollution events and environmental releases requiring cleanup and reporting, wherever and whenever they occur.
Environmental liability laws are written in such a way that no matter who causes a release, the party who has “care, custody and control” of the material at the time of loss is the one legally responsible to respond, contain and report the pollution event, plus remediate the site and safely and legally dispose of the contaminated soil and material. Since 1990, Spill Center has helped thousands of customers involved in accidental releases of regulated materials contain spill-related costs and limit potential liability after environmental spills.
Spill Center is the North American leader in environmental claims management and emergency response. A dedicated team of professionals is available 365 days a year, 24/7, to assist with incident reporting, finding cleanup contractors and providing expert advice to help our customers. On staff are legal, technical and environmental specialists who are experienced in coordinating pollution events of all kinds.
We maintain a database with some 3,000 qualified cleanup contractors throughout North America from which customers can select. Listings of nearly 30,000 federal, state, provincial and local jurisdictions requiring incident reports after spills are continuously updated in another database. The objective is to help Spill Center customers avoid fines and penalties for non-compliance with incident reporting regulations.
