Help With Spill Reporting Just A Phone Call or Click Away

anne General Information

Environmental spills of hazardous materials, diesel fuel and other regulated substances require a fast response to minimize costs and limit potential liability. Required reports, both telephonic and written, need to be complied with to the letter in order to avoid fines and penalties for non-compliance. Spill Centerâ„¢ compliance associates routinely complete incident reports as part of Spill Center’s program of spill-related services for clients.

Spill Center completes more reports for clients than any other organization in North America – more than 300 each month. Because Spill Center reviews and updates environmental regulatory requirements for nearly 30,000 jurisdictions throughout the United States and Canada, clients can rest assured that reports related to their spills will go to the right authorities within the time specified.

When a client notifies us of an environmental spill, by phone, mobile app or online, we take immediate action to initiate the right response, 24/7. Our contractor database lists more than 3,000 companies that are qualified to clean up environmental spills. We provide the client with contact information for contractors in the vicinity of the spill who are available to respond. Then we manage the cleanup and disposal while coordinating with local authorities on the scene. The client is kept in the loop until the job is done. We also complete all required regulatory reports if the client requests that service.

The safety director of a Spill Center transportation client whose fleet runs 48 states as well as Canada and Mexico has been with us for many years. The fleet travels through hundreds of different jurisdictions requiring reports after spills.

“There is absolutely no way on Earth we could keep track of the reporting regulations in all of those individual cities, counties, states and federal reporting jurisdictions that we travel through,” he told us. “Knowing that Spill Center stays on top of all the regulatory requirements is a relief.” He said he likes working with Spill Center because of the ease of reporting and the quality of our employees. “You’re talking to people who know exactly what needs to be done, and they do it efficiently.”
